Kogarah Bay Sailing Club

 

What do we offer?

  • Sailing on open waters that provide great breezes from any direction, but particularly from the south and north-east.

  • Dinghy and catamaran racing for juniors & seniors

  • Sailing Instruction: Group instruction for adults and children aged 10 and up, individual coaching for adults and juniors

  • Sailability® - Sailing for people with disabilities, in specially designed 'uncapsizeable' boats

  • Radio controlled yacht racing: Kogarah Bay Radio Yacht Club - Open water course for radio controlled models

When do we operate?

  • Every Sunday during summer

  • Every 3rd Sunday of the winter months

  • Club House open from 10am, Races start at 2pm

  • Season commences second Sunday in September.

  • RC Yachts race nearly every Sunday year round

What do we sail?

We welcome sailing dinghies and trailer sailers of all types and ages

There is competitive class racing for:

  • Hartley TS16's

  • Tasars

We have an active open division which includes such boats as:

  • NS14, Paper Tiger Cats, Impulses, Lasers, Contenders  

Juniors sail; Manly Juniors, Lasers and Gaffers.

We will offer further class racing for any class with 3 or more boats sailing regularly

Race points are accumulated throughout the season and trophies presented for aggregate scratch & handicap results

 

We are a non-profit sailing club established over 50 years ago, catering for enthusiasts of all ages
